#Disabilities
Also, shouldn't there be a bunch of class action lawsuits over this, on grounds of violating the Americans With Disabilities Act?

They're basically making it impossible to vote if you have serious mobility problems, or chronic pain issues, among other limitations

You know who else has disabilities?

The thousands of Palestinians who Israel couldn't successfully murder on their first try

Totally agree. Cut-copy-paste for the rights of people with disabilities.

Putting it mildly. He is why I have these disabilities.

The healthcare marketplace would like me, a self-employed person with no recorded disabilities who has never served in the military, to prove that I DON’T have insurance through an employer, the VA, or Medicare.

This technology would be used in ways that are racist, classist, and against people with disabilities. This technology would be used to cast doubt on truth and edit out anything billionaires don’t like. This technology is quite literally anti-human and needs to be condemned in no uncertain terms

Greg Abbott keeps making life harder including for Texans with disabilities. And letting pregnant women die from his abortion ban is far from “pro-life!”

Vote him out!

this stuff saddens me bc it's always the people with legit service dogs and disabilities who suffer for it. and I always have to brace myself reading people's reactions too. :')

Mike Rogers is going to show up for people with disabilities? Is that what this dude thinks?

the sims desperately needs an update that includes physical disabilities

it’d be so cool if labor wasn’t so exploitative and designed to grind anyone with even minor disabilities into dust

let it out, my dears, it's okay

academia is full of legends who founded whole fields while also going through it. We share the Darwin quotes all the time, but he's not the only one in my own tiny subfield of animal evolution and behavior who got crushed with mental illness and academic struggles:

tbf it does seem like cis and het are intellectual disabilities sometimes
Going through my gmail to delete years of shite, and I find this old email from twitter about that time they found my post was hateful and against their code of conduct. Wanna know what the post said? People get BIG mad if you call them a bigot, even while spouting the most bigoted shit imaginable

The building peeking over the van there is a home for people with mobility disabilities and people in wheelchairs.

Republicans are always pretending to care about the “dignity of Work” but they do everything they can to stop remote work which allowed so many people with disabilities to re-enter the workforce. They like controlling people with disabilities and their finances.

Voters with disabilities or limited English can get help voting from someone of their choice (as long as the person assisting isn’t an agent of the voter’s employer or union, or the employer themselves).

Poll workers must make reasonable accommodations to help you vote and cannot turn you away.

#Gaza We produced the last 3D-printed mask for severe burn patients on Oct. 14.

Due to restrictions and blockages of supplies by Israeli authorities, we can no longer provide this service, leaving children at greater risk of lifelong disabilities.

And my experience is that people with disabilities get constantly harassed by people who are so determined to not accidentally let in the rare bad actor that they'd rather harass all people with disabilities to prevent it.

"I'm a person with a disability, which means you're not allowed to insult me just because I'm voting for Republican candidates who plan to take away rights for people with disabilities."
Yes Jason Turkish, we can all tell you're legally blind from your total inability to read the room

It's dangerous. It's eugenicist and borderline genocidal. And the targets are racialised minorities, the socio-econonic vulnerable, and people with disabilities. We cannot allow this technology to be used, and we cannot allow it to be further developed.
November 2, 2026 at 10:48 AM
Got a message separately looking for a way to explain why we don’t use disabilities as insults for shitty people. This seems to be a surprise to lots of folks.

It’s not about being kind to the target. It’s not even about “offending” disabled bystanders.

It’s about contributing to ambient ableism.

Kemi Badenoch, "6 million people are on out of work benefits. That cannot be right"

Who are they? People with serious illnesses or disabilities. Carers. Parents looking after young children. People who have lost their jobs or are trying to find work.

In the end it’s hard to see how these measures don’t discriminate against women, people with disabilities, those with caring responsibilities. They penalise some of the most vulnerable people in our society when we ought to be supporting them and welcoming them
