3.6M Origins have BFCache not available in Chrome due to CCNS header usage (Source HTTP Archive via LH BFCache blocking reasons).
I honestly doubt that most of these sites are using CCNS for valid reasons...

I hate that they still haven't fixed the BFCache navigation so that if I navigate to notifications and then hit my back button it doesn't leave the website. Do they even know about that function? Amateurs

MPAs have better back/forward ux due to bfcache. Can kit serialize component state (à la hmr) to catch up?

BFCache can hugely influence your page performance for URLs high on Back Forward Navigation types.
If you use CrUX or RUM and you see a lot of traffic in % attributed on Back Forward and few on BFCache maybe you are leaving money on the table!

Yeah we really should get round to working on this to include prerender and bfcache in there. Takes a bit of effort and always been higher priority things to do first so keeps getting dropped down the list…
