i read most of this book while waiting in the bidmc er yesterday (i’m fine, just back / neck stuff) and laura kipnis sums up a lot of my issues with it. (also hepola’s “oooh i’m anti WOKE” nudges throughout the whole thing eventually become tiresome.)

With so few qualified headache specialists as it is, this is cruel and discriminatory by BIDMC.

This consequential inaccuracy has already infected my records at 4 major medical centers in Massachusetts: Mass General Brigham, BIDMC Boston, BIDMC/Cooley Dickinson in Northampton, and Berkshire Medical Center. I am beyond livid and we can’t afford a lawyer.

My old endocrinologist recognized me in the BIDMC cafeteria yesterday while I was eating and stopped to say hi. He apparently wanted to question my breasts. Yes, the dude made no eye contact.
