It does write simple code well. So it is quite useful when you have a framework to fit that in so that people can learn. So in big companies it can be useful to help bridge the gap between biz and tech.

My guess is the Democrats don't want to make their donors bigger targets than they already are.

It’s worrying that safety researchers at OpenAI were fired last week. Tech workers should be able to report concerns without fear of retaliation. Big Tech CEOs can’t regulate themselves. That’s why we need whistleblower protections and a real voice for tech workers.

Love this framing! Big tech took away the need for users to care about any part of B2C infra by focusing on maxing user count/DAU instead, then needing to recoup on that expense, leading to enshittifying.
I think users need to be exposed to just the important parts, of which identity is paramount

LLMs are plateauing.

When you hear the word "agent", that's not an LLM. That's an application using an LLM.

Because incremental LLM improvement isn'tgenerating IPO-friendly headlines, Big Tech is trying to sell apps built on top of LLMs to the few industries where that might work. That's "agents".

I think we should begin to prepare for a plateau in LLM AI.

Strip all the Big Tech bullshit away, consider what these models can do today, and think about what we're left with, some interesting technology. What can we do with that? Where is it useful and practical if it advances no further?

The latest FiftyPlusOne map for the Senate. It’s time to decide, has the country tired of the blatant abuse of power, the lies, the corruption, the grifting, big tech abuses and the oligarchs buying elections? If so, flipping the Senate is IMPERATIVE! #Kansas and #Iowa voters we need your support! 🇺🇸

Lol! Since then Tech Bros said stealing IP is no big, PlayStation can’t get mad. Everyone can get it 💀
This thing about the entirety of Playstation‘s Library has been leaked online and now people are playing it on PCs, the replicating of Adobe programs and now literally every game be able to be played on a jailbroken PS5 all because of AI‘s open sourcing being available to the public is DELICIOUS

The problem with abolishing it is that it would give even more power to the big tech companies and result in apps like this getting shut down. And the big tech apps would resort to a new model that would overcensor their apps to avoid lawsuits.

Face à la domination du capital global, structurée autour du trumpisme et de la Big Tech, toute résistance isolée est vouée à l'échec. Il faut que chacun prenne conscience que ce capitalisme mondial est intrinsèquement lié aux absurdités de notre quotidien.
