EAC for Windows has a backend toggle for requiring TPM/SB (not enabled by default) i would be generous and assume that Linux will be the same
also why do bigscreen beyond 2e require kernel patches...? surely this is an issue with bigscreen and AMD/NVIDIA first and foremost

I have been seriously looking at the Pimax Dream Air SE lately. It seems to be a lot like the bigscreen beyond but less... bad. Comparing it directly to the Beyond 2e, as they both have eye tracking, it's also $200 cheaper.

Bigscreen is SteamVR centric, and Pimax has a lighthouse plate that you can add to their non-wired headset too

I am sure the Meta Quests are better, but I'd rather die than give Facebook hundreds of dollars, and the Steam Frame/Index are just entirely out of my price range, not to mention any other headset like the BigScreen and so on and so forth.

how is plasma bigscreen? I slapped gnome on my media server for a gui but at tv scale it's kinda awkward.

I am mainly annoyed with how performance tanks on the Bigscreen Beyond 2e and the only way to fix it is to reseat the cables, which aren't very sturdy in how they are connected.

I hope Bigscreen make a standalone that runs SteamOS. I imagine they'd go for the compute puck design, which is what I really want. Something light like the Beyond and the new meta VR Glasses but with a real operating system. 🙏🏿

I just found out the plastic frame for my Bigscreen Beyond Facial cushion broke on on one of the magnets… I’m pretty gentle when I clean it and use a fragrance free plant based dish soap to clean it 😭
