Also since I’m rambling anyway can we collectively agree to drop the term ‘intersex’ when describing bigenital/dualsex characters. Bc words have meanings and intersex is a real life label that doesn’t actually include being bigenital on the basis that being bigenital is fictional and that

"Bigenital Revolution," the book I wrote + @jpawlik.com drew, about the new form of gender affirming surgery I was among the first to get, was published by @microcosm.bsky.social in March!

It is my hopeful message in a bottle I'm floating out to the world.

Muchly appreciated! ✨️

I'm one of the first folks to have had what they're now calling "bigenital," "salmacian," or a form of "nonbinary affirmation" surgery. I won't shut up about how cool this is.

So I wrote a book! & @jpawlik.com made amazing art for it!

I'm apparently one of the first humans to have surgically acquired both functioning sets of genitalia. I've never been happier.

"You should write a book about this!" everyone told me, after I appeared in a VICE News interview about this surgery.

So I did!

(1/2) PSA for the HS community:
Trolls are NOT intersex. Trolls are “bigenital” or “cosexed”- intersex=bigenital is a seriously harmful stereotype towards intersex ppl- and is deeply intersexist.

Dear furries, Intersex does NOT mean having both genitalia. That is an intersexist stereotype; please listen to us. Additionally, "herm" is a slur. "Futa" is a translation of "hermaphrodite" (a slur). THERE'S BETTER TERMS. Characters w/ both parts -> salmacian, dualsex, bigenital Species w/ both parts -> monoecious, cosexed, gonosimulites There is no reason to use the word hermaphrodite in any social setting. There is no reason for the modern scientific community to use this derogatory term for animals. Hermaphrodite has referred to intersex people for centuries. --very annoyed intersex furry

if your character has 'both parts' then there are many words to use instead of a literal slur such as dualsex, bigenital, or salmacian just by the way
