intersex bodies are not birth defects or disordered. We are not mistakes and we are not broken, we only become disordered through the nonconsensual procedures done to us as infants or kids, causing us lifelong pain purely for cosmetic reasons

the porn tagged as intersex isn't even of intersex characters! And there is more porn of non-intersex characters drawn by non-intersex people than there is art of actual intersex characters by intersex artists! We are literally a minority in our own tags that describe our real community 🫠🫠🫠🫠
upset and jealous that people care more about the e6 ai thing than they ever will care about how intersex tag is used to sexualize and fetishize a real community of people that actively spreads misinformation about our bodies

i love intersex history and resistance, i love all the intersex people in the 1800s who refused to let doctors force them into a different sex and happily lived as men or women with partners who loved them while having mixed sex traits. Intersex oppression is old but so is intersex resistance

Also also also, a lot more of us are probably some version of intersex than we know. Mass genetic testing for sex is going to lead to a bunch of rich people ruining their own kids' ability to participate when they find out they're intersex.
Also we aren't talking enough about how mandatory DNA testing for little girls to make sure none of them is trans is a gift to the school to prison pipeline. You really think a database of DNA won't be weaponized by the carceral state? You think Black and Indigenous girls won't be targeted? Please.

i would like a citation that intersex people were originally fine with the use hermaphrodite as a tag and originally fine with all trans characters being tagged as intersex. How many intersex people did they ask? How many intersex people were involved with this decision?
and 2, very frustratingly, this whole discussion is a cycle. people pick one word and it's fine for a while but then people start objecting to that word. this is exactly what's happening here in this very thread with "andromorph" and "gynomorph".

this means that non-intersex trans people are automatically tagged as intersex when they are literally not intersex in real life, and that people who are literally intersex, like a cisgender man with xx chromosomes but typical male genitalia and traits won't be tagged as intersex.

since I'm just complaining about porn that is mistagged as intersex i will just keep going. Most porn that is tagged as intersex does not depict or engage with intersex traits at all. Usually the genitals are not ambiguous and actual traits like micropenis/macroclit

(My body is a bit weird for being perisex but I've never been treated as intersex and my intersex friends don't really talk about interphobia, so I genuinely don't know how bad it can get in this context. It may very well be equally consequential. But this mass intersex revelation will occur)
