We loaded just under 500 used bikes and lots of parts into a container to ship to Kenya to be re-furbished and re-used. Please support Bikes Not Bombs.

I ❤️ my volunteer work in the Netherlands, helping to refurbish old bikes, mostly for children.

Kupyansk front: Russian forces attempted an attack using quad bikes, but soldiers of Ukraine’s 14th Mechanized Brigade made sure it ended in failure.

In addition to this, there are some parts in this direction where Ukrainian forces regained previously lost positions.

i don't write about this often here, but charlottesville has an e-bike library, which takes up most of my shed and sometimes parts of the house too. if you're at all curious about e-biking around the area, sign up and try some bikes while the weather's good: www.ebikelibrarycville.org

I had to throw away a box of spare parts for some '80s bikes I used to own.

I am accepting prayers and condolences during this difficult time.

I donated my bike to Wheels For Winners. They take all bikes, fix what they can, or save the parts for other bikes.

And that sort of content is hardly unique, I found a whole network of accounts of young men and boys stealing motorbikes and cars and filming themselves joyriding in them, as well as using TikTok as a marketplace to sell stolen bikes and parts.
Most of youse missed this, but five teenagers died on an Irish motorway last week after crashing their car going in the wrong direction. They were so notorious for streaming these videos that the police and TikTok were already liaising about them before they died.

In most parts of the US, you are SUPPOSED to ride your bike in the street since bikes are a hazard to bystanders.

Donating free bikes to kids is one of the best parts about my job.

Bike Buddies has grown so much in the past 4 years. We need a retail shop so scenes like this happen every day.

WATCH: If you STILL don’t understand how car-dependent suburbia is HEAVILY SUBSIDIZED by downtown and all the urban parts of your city, watch this EXCELLENT video by #NotJustBikes with #Urban3 & @strongtowns.bsky.social. And PLEASE SHARE it as much as possible.

I’ve sent it to a LOT of politicians.

I volunteer with AWTF. They run a food bank in north London, plus refurbish bikes to donate to people in need, including refugees

I got offered a few bikes for the project. A little cumbersome to get home but I made it

If anyone has spare old bikes, locks, helmets or parts, let me know #quaxing

Carryshit Olympics x Bike Works

I am cleaning out the garage and we had a couple extra bikes the kids have outgrown, a bunch of leftover parts from upgrades/swaps, and a pile of recyclables. Off to Bike Works… by bike, of course. “We always need more extra small bikes!” says Bike Works staff. ✅

State Bikes: What if the bikes looked cool. People will buy a cool paint scheme even if the parts are cheap

"Serious" manufacturers: Nonsense. Stupid. This year's models are available in two colors, Poop or Pee

I donated a bike rack today at a Tucson community shop that recycles bike parts, teaches people to work on bikes, and makes art with bike parts. The place was hoppin’, and EVERY SINGLE PERSON WAS MASKED! Bravo Bicas 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 You’re my peeps. 🥰

It’s interesting how often shots of bikes are used in news reports of severe winter weather, given how most Canadians think you’re crazy to even look at a bike after September.

I like how Halifax puts out an AAA bike map, which ignores that parts of it (looking at you, Dahlia) are absolutely not safe for children to ride bikes on.
