#bioresearch
Going to start a thread of all the areas I worked on for Marathon <3 <3

first up: bioresearch

There'd be a whole operation to shut down a secret bioresearch lab and not only was the lab entirely funded by monsterfucker donations, but was tipped before the raid by a 19 year old college student who runs a monsterfucker forum

The secret bioresearch facilities would also have to deal with this, they'd have people sneaking in to fuck the monsters no matter how tight their security is.

Half the people applying for jobs there would be monsterfuckers with no qualifications

- Loot spawns in the Bioresearch locked room will be disabled in both Day and Night variants of Dire Marsh.
- Bioresearch keys will not be able to be found in-run, nor can they be taken in a run to prevent any losses during this period.

We'll follow-up once a fix is in place.

We've identified an issue where Runners can gain access to the Bioresearch locked room without the necessary key. While we work on a fix we'll be making a couple of temporary adjustments:

anthropic saying that bioweapons might kill you if you don't regulate their competitors but mostly not them is the free square. they are always going to say that.

they are also the worst threat, having targeted bioresearch as their primary next frontier use case.

i hope theres a marathon christmas event. i can already imagine it... durandal contract thats like in a single run - collect three french hens in bioresearch - scan two turtle doves in quarantine - gather partridge in maintenance - deliver partridge to pear tree in gardens

Okay if your whole thing is fears about AI bioweapons WHY ARE YOU DOING AI BIORESEARCH?

Pick a position, assholes.
Embarrassed by the baseless speculation I was spreading nine days ago. Should have waited for the base.

This Friday, February 7, María del Carmen Muñoz-Marín @vesynech.bsky.social will give a UCO BioResearch Seminar entitled "The social life of marine cyanobacteria".

Apologies to my followers for this kinda left field cement saga; I promise this is relevant to my bioresearch. It's a side project I started years ago looking to make long term embedded sensors for the marshy shore near my home. Smart rock data station. All circuits directly emebded in cement; solar

The is some KYC for some specific capabilities, eg. legit bioresearch.

Type of guy who gets really mad about Anthropic limiting AI bioresearch but is still very pro-DOGE
June 11, 2026 at 7:11 AM
no, it genuinely just like came to me from a discussion about Anthropic and bioresearch of just '... is this for making more Aella bathwater'

Ugggghhh cold chain shipping so expensive. I can only imagine what its like shipping cold internationally, especially to global south. A bioeconomy without local production is doomed to fail. Reagent access determines rate of bioresearch progress across the board. Raise the tide.

When abandoned bioresearch labs turn out not to be quite so abandoned. Probably a good time to start running.

how exactly are humans transforming in this scenario? genetic engineering? bioresearch is much slower to perform, and diffuse than computer science

Thanks you!!! He is directly invested in eugenic bioresearch and is a thoroughly bad actor-- a passive link to his "study" in the NYTimes is beyond disingenuous.

Appalling FDA warning letter. Sponsor "revised" communication w/FDA to mislead IRB into changing original significant risk designation to non-significant risk & failed to file IDE. Maybe the IRB could, like, call or email FDA & ask questions.

Bioresearch experiments have begun! Shown are two teams. One is studying plants growing in lunar soil and the other is seeing whether apples or bananas work best to produce biofuels. #ourBMSA

I'm getting the hang of setting up test points and smoke tests for various additions. Very helpful in debugging code you did not write yourself. Already caught an issue with some visualization functions doing this. Knowing what to expect really helps. Learn bioresearch first!

well i just had an experience that my best point of comparison is for when i would play gta online and hackers would get mad at you. i was trying to progress a contract in bioresearch, started getting snapped around the map, sent bouncing, flying, under the map, just tossed around all over the place

marathon posting

thick fog, dire marsh
pinch a team but other team on bioresearch roof has snipers
we disengage to greenhouse
the snipers chase us but we absolutely wreck them in cqb
back to bio, get sample, rush to quarantine
3min left
haul ass to protected exfil
forgot sample @ quarantine lol

Also, @progmil.bsky.social I have some strong doubts on the Russian lab part of the story. I mean, they did create a COVID vaccine, so there is that, but they do not exactly have a thriving bioresearch enterprise.
