Been doing some test screen prints on shirts using my thermal label art. Not used any bitmapping for the file preparation, just scans of the labels. I like how these came out. Gonna have a few with me at Cheshire Print Fair tomorrow. Whatever is left after that I'll pop online next week.

bitmapping is when an image has visible pixels when u zoom in or in the case of pixel art they are very large pixels. However fonts are usually vector, meaning there are no pixels and lines are essentially equations that can be moved and zoomed without ever seeing pixel

Pre-splines and Béziers, I spent a whole summer bitmapping Cheltenham 24 Bold for the graphics start-up where I worked. I do not miss those days.

Practical special effects in movies. Most CGI tends to look the same - animators have difficulty depicting the mass of objects - digital matte work feels less realistic than mattes painted on glass - digital weathering/bitmapping of CGI models tends to look less realistic than weathered practicals.

This is my Art Summary for 2025.
I noticed my art style has started to improve more a bit with me learning about texturing and bitmapping my artworks.

Hatte ja auch nen 16Bit-Bus und nen besseren Grafikchip. Die anderen Systeme waren ja eher Terminals+Sprites. ST und Amiga konnten echtes Bitmapping. Das machte die Karren so revolutionär. Übrigens. Der ST hätte der Amiga sein sollen. Commodore hat sich die Plattform nur geschnappt. 1/x

Nerding out hard on micropython tonight. I’m liking that giga r1 WiFi platform… though not inclined to want or need the WiFi part. Doesn’t look horribly hard to add c code for dealing with registers and bitmapping stuff.
