I overposted today which is what I often do when I'm at home doing a certain kind of writing. The result is a follower transfusion & a feeling of the internet saying "Behave." But for me the internet is not a room to behave in. It's a flame-licked bombsite where I sometimes get 4 more readers a day.

Watch anything filmed in London in the '70s. It looks like a bombsite they've tried to camouflage by spraying it all with soot from a hose and then dumping rubbish all over it.

You will lose a lot of followers on Bluesky by posting about sheep, old books, derelict barns, the evils of AI, cats, misspelt rural signage, interdimensional portals, bats, owls, trees & psychedelic music but you'll also pick up a few & personally I find the aggregate result of that worthwhile.
