That intimate moment between you and the book you have just read the last words of, where you sit there taking in the enormity of what you have just finished.

🎧 Excited about my 2024 book roundup! Highlights include "The Coming Wave" and "Atlas of AI." I think I did pretty well with hitting my PD book goals for this year!

Re-reading To Kill a Mockingbird and struck by how much of its power comes from restraint.
No grand speeches. Just empathy, quiet courage, and the hard work of seeing others clearly.
Some books don’t get outdated. They get sharper.

To Kill a Mockingbird: Symbols, Justice, and Growing Up
A reflective, partly spoiler-aware reading of To Kill a Mockingbird, exploring symbolism, justice, racism, and why the book hits harder as adults.

Bewilderment by Richard Powers
⭐⭐⭐⭐

Playing catch up.

If we’ve talked books, I’ve probably recommended Powers as The Overstory and Playground are all-time favs. Bewilderment came between them.

Parents beware. This novel will slowly squeeze your heart to the brink of explosion.

There’s no single path to falling in love with stories. Whether you turn pages, tap screens, or press play, every reader finds magic in their own way. What matters isn’t how you read—but that you do, and that you let each story change you just a little along the way.

Some books grow with us—quietly waiting on the shelf until we’re ready to see what they were truly saying all along. The same pages, the same words, but a different heart reading them. That’s the magic of stories: they don’t change, we do.
