Come celebrate Pride Month with an unforgettable dance party in Union Square! This free, all-ages event is a joyful celebration of love, diversity, and inclusivity, welcoming LGBTQ+ individuals and allies alike. This event is collaboratively produced by the Somerville Arts Council and the City of Somerville’s Health and Human Services Department, working together to celebrate and uplift the LGBTQ+ community. This year we’re turning up the party with an extra hour of dancing! Join us on Saturday, June 27 (rain date: June 28) from 4:30 to 8:30 PM for even more time to move and celebrate, and show up in all your joy. ### This year’s theme is Gender Euphoria! Everyone deserves to feel good in their body, in who they are, and we want to uplift the joy that is looking in the mirror and feeling “YES! That is ME!” Dress up in whatever makes you feel like your self-iest self, whether that is a ballgown or blue jeans, the brightest rainbow sparkles or the goth-est black. Come celebrate the **you** that **you** are with your Somerville LGBTQIA+ community! Music by DJ Live Drag performances: Amanda Playwith, Andi van Dyke, Abby Cummings Professional photographs: by Megan Senturk LGBTQ+ organizations tabling And when the plaza dance floor closes… the celebration continues! We’re excited to lead straight into the official Big Gay Dance Party After Party, more details coming soon. ### Accessibility Needs: Persons with disabilities who need auxiliary aids and services for effective communication (i.e., CART, ASL), written materials in alternative formats, or reasonable modifications in policies and procedures in order to access the programs, activities, and meetings of the City of Somerville should contact the ADA Coordinator in advance at 617-625-6600 x 2059 [email protected].
