maybe it's unfair that my take on broicism was when I said that emotionally disengaging from your human relationships to the point that your spouse's death bothers you no more than a stranger's isn't healthy and was accused of making a strawman of the philosophy

Reading how ancient stoicism has gotten distorted in pop culture such that "manosphere" influencers (hilariously dubbed "broicism"), use it to justify scam behavior.
It's a shame this happens with philosophy so often. There so many concepts I appreciate but am afraid to mention outside my bubble.
