A gorgeous example of a mosaic gravestone in Broseley Cemetery, Shropshire.Though fairly rare in the wider Telford area, they reflect the influence of the tile work industry in the Severn Valley and the skills its artisans possessed. I think this is particularly beautiful. 💚

Went to Broseley Pipe Museum - closed, but Broseley has some lovely buildings - and then on to Much Wenlock, where I found the occasional street market and the church coffee morning in full swing. Failed to win anything in the tombola though... #ShropshireLife

As finances get squeezed an amazing museum is mothballed. The pipe works at Broseley is magnificent in specialist niche museum fashion. If Ironbridge wants to keep its status then it needs a stable museum plan - that includes the small guys
