While I wait for concrete colored filament for the Gargoyle figurine, I've been messing with some 'holographic' buildplates to spice up my Pheal tokens. They are only 'sparkly' on one side so that it doesn't interfere with reading the QR code on the back.

Had to switch buildplates cuz i was having too many failures nowthe texture will be more sparkly xD

It's the crypgrip frostbite! I print on a slightly higher temp than a cold plate should allow but it seems to counteract a lot of my local weather issues! biqu.equipment/pages/buildp...

Let's have two terrain days in a row. By Sphere 3D it's their Wildlife Houses Part 2. It may only be 3 houses but they're cut already and designed to fit on smaller FDM buildplates like the Ender 3 Pro.

I got an A1.
Been thinking of upgrading to a P1/P2 or an H2.
The advantages I see with a P1/P2 are A) they're cheaper, and B) interchangeable buildplates with the A1.

Most bases don't need to be cut so many times.

I think xometry has a short-run injection mold process that uses additive for tooling, and there is optimization you can do to make a part more printable, and I guess you invest in that as you scale, *and* the speed of all the processes is improving ... but 1 and N buildplates are equivalent I think

Trying out Minecraft Earth. It's promising, and it has some great collaborative potential. A couple notes:

- on my Huawei P30, buildplates don't "stick", they jitter. ew.
- colleague was unable to join me on his iPhone as it had trouble mapping the area. I could join him though.
