The idea that Schumer "built" the majority is farcical. He opposed Stratton, Flanagan, El-Sayed, & Jackson in the primary. Those plus Hamilton, Talarico, & Andrews oppose him for leader now.

The majority was built by senators who he opposed and/or who oppose him now.
Here’s the reality about Schumer:

He sponsored Alex Vindman, Haley Stevens and Janet Mills. White candidates who BADLY underperformed.

Tech guys: "Heh... We're built different"

Narrator: "they were not, in fact, built different at all"

I’m fighting to block a proposed 400-megawatt data center from being built on federal land at NAVWAR, here in San Diego. If built, this would be the largest data center in the state. Our community has been clear: we don’t want this!

In 2021, a little-known state representative took a chance on a college senior.

What a ride!

In addition, they are being built with borrowed money. Servicing that debt based on current and projected revenues seems short, creating a built in collapse.

The people of Amsterdam entered a Microsoft data center on 11/ 6 2026. They were pepper sprayed, arrested and severely beaten.
Once built, the data center will have an electricity demand as big as that of all the households in the city.
Currently Amsterdam is already facing a power shortage.

Love this skinny little building at 108 Hope Street in Glasgow. It was originally built for the Scottish Temperance League in 1894, but it's also the former Woolwich Equitable Building.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is trying to rehab his image as he leaves office to poise himself for a 2028 Presidential run. NEVER let the public forget that he built a concentration camp in the middle of the Everglades and called it Alligator Alcatraz… and then SOLD MERCH.

The popularist movement started as an expression of the longstanding belief among elites that a multiracial democracy built on equal justice is offensive and a political liability; the structural claims were bolted onto a normative belief in American racism
david shor started the popularist movement because circa ~2020 he had a model that showed that showed democrats were essentially guaranteed to permanently lose the senate majority, literally projecting that republicans would get a 60 seat supermajority this year
