Have had my Bupa appointments for my back and anxiety issues this morning, I’m being referred on further for my back and I’m being referred for CBT for my anxiety so I guess I can be grateful to my job for facilitating this for me.

Your GP surgery can do a health MOT even if you want a BUPA one too. They’ll check your bloods, BMI, cholesterol etc and you can ask for the PSA test at the same time (for your prostate not your balls 😂)

They're mugs. Bupa give you free cocaine, there's a saving right there if they just ask the receptionist for some

I did have my heart checked last year after a panic attack n they said I had a strong heart, which tbh came as quite the surprise, I’ve been looking into those bupa health checks

I think it's how they're describing "middle class": 2 kids in private school, bupa, 4 holidays a year that cost more than my entire yearly income, new range rover every couple years, massive house, cricket couch for tarquin and a horse for beatrice etc which aren't exactly middle or average

you could, but it would be unusual. starting consultant salary in england now is £113k (tho probably a wee bit more irl) and by spending a lot
of your free time in PP in a normal part of the country (ie not london) you can earn the same again from BUPA

In the ACT you have to take out private health insurance (like Bupa, Medibank etc) that specifically offers ambulance) whereas in Vic you pay Ambulance Vic for a yearly subscription which is significantly cheaper than the cover through Bupa etc. unless you have a health care card then it is free

Recently, the Delhi High Court, in Niva Bupa v. Vishal Rattewal imposed Re. 1 in notional costs after finding the plaintiffs’ suit to be a “misuse” of the IPD’s special jurisdiction. (1/2)

In this post, Aryan Agrawal examines whether the failure of a trademark infringement claim is sufficient to constitute such misuse, and whether the Court adequately considered the IPD Rules’ express inclusion of disparagement within its remit. (2/2)

Gen Z increasingly lonely working from home, new data reveals
Young adults feel lonelier working from home than older generations, new research suggests. Data from the Bupa Wellbeing Index suggests a rise in the number of 18 to 24-year-olds who feel that working alone makes them lonely, from 42 per cent in 2025 to 47 per cent in 2026 - nearly half. ### Across all age groups, 34 per cent surveyed in 2026 said working alone makes them feel lonely - down just one point from 35 per cent the year prior. Just 18 per cent of those aged 55 and older felt lonely while working alone. ### TRENDING Stories Videos Your Say ### And for those aged 45-54, the figure was 28 per cent. The data also suggests that Gen Z is more significantly impacted by mental health in the workplace as opposed to the general population. Over four in ten (41 per cent) respondents said mental health affected their ability to work in the past 12 months, compared to 29 per cent of all age groups. And nearly nine in 10 younger workers (87 per cent) said they go to work with a mental health issue, compared to 70 per cent of all respondents. ### ### ### Mental health was also more frequently named as a contributing factor in Gen Z leaving work in the past 12 months as opposed to all workers. Some 35 per cent of adults between 18 and 24 said it had an effect, as opposed to 24 per cent across all ages. Shazna Khanom, head of clinical mental health at Bupa, said: "As we await the final publication of the Alan Milburn review of young people and work, one thing increasingly stands out to me as a clinician. "It's not just about helping young people into work, we also need to create workplaces where they can feel connected, supported and able to thrive. ### LATEST HEALTH NEWS: * Manosphere must be treated as public health problem 'similar to smoking', experts warn * Coronavirus jabs injected into children as young as six despite secret blood-clot fears * Night shifts during pregnancy linked to risk of developmental problems in children ### ### "While remote and flexible working can bring significant benefits, connection and mental wellbeing should remain a priority alongside them." Ms Khanom said creating "mentally healthy workplaces" was a "shared responsibility", adding that employers should make people feel safe "discussing concerns and accessing support early". Office for National Statistics (ONS) data from July to September showed higher feelings of loneliness generally among younger age groups. Some 34 per cent of people aged 16 to 29 said they always feel lonely or are lonely often or some of the time, compared to 25 per cent of people of all ages and 22 per cent of those aged 50 to 69, the ONS found. ### ### GB News has previously explored the causes of Britain's chronic loneliness epidemic, with the fall of third spaces, social stigma, and the ballooning benefits bill all cited as factors. Dr Meg Jay, a clinical psychologist who has examined the mental health crisis in young people, said the "second space" of work was in decline due to the rise of remote work, impacting men who used it to "grab lunch or start a conversation". She told The People's Channel: "We are making work more convenient, but relationships less convenient." Also of concern was the rise in artificial intelligence, with fears that lonely young adults could turn to chatbots rather than human interactions. A spokesman from the Centre for Social Justice previously warned that charities were dealing with levels of loneliness "off the scale". ### ### **Our Standards: The GB News Editorial Charter**

8 weeks is well ahead of national waiting times, so Leeds seem to be doing reasonably and I can then probably bring my BUPA into play, but I need the NHS first.

I'm just fed up already of being weary.
October 24, 2026 at 6:25 PM
It greatly depends on what exact coverage you want, like BUPA is good if you are tired of waiting for specialists etc.
October 23, 2026 at 9:28 AM
Had an hour long chat with my team manager today about the rampant anxiety my (very demanding and responsible) job causes me, and we worked out some stuff, I’m gonna utilise the Bupa care we get as part of our perks and use this to address this and my back.

I don't know why I didn't say the name lol

Fuck you Bupa 🖕
October 22, 2026 at 2:38 AM
AFAIK bupa has one, in london and it handles a lot of the work for other private insurers like axa as many of them do not have even 1 hospital so they just pay bupa.

And my point is that neither of this covers a&e or chronic care or routine, in uk that's on NHS generally
October 23, 2026 at 9:38 AM
I‘ve got AXA purchased through work and it costs me a little under £65 a month. They were much cheaper than BUPA and cover most things.

I’ve not needed to call on their services yet, so I don’t know if they’d try a trans broken arm syndrome excuse to get-out of paying for unrelated treatments.
October 22, 2026 at 9:37 PM
Nope too busy working - ibuprofen and ice for the first 72 hrs is the NHS recommendation I think so if no improvement then A&E and possibly x-ray. Could also do it on BUPA if needed.
