Why, it’s a profoundly sad Buck Rogers. An odd choice for this c1934 badge from the Saturday Chicago American Newspaper advertising its “16 pages of comics”. Surely a less pitiable Buck would’ve done the job in a more enticing fashion?

'The Playground.' (c1934) William Roberts was one of English art's visual eccentrics. Deeply influenced by Cubism and Futurism, he painted in a style that that embodies the dynamism and innovation of that period, a style that never altered over his long career.

At Frinton on Sea, c1934, by Oliver Hill. We would describe it as modernist rather than art deco www.standard.co.uk/homesandprop...
Remarkable Art Deco seafront house in Essex for sale for £1.5 million
The seaside house was supposed to be part of a much larger development of Art Deco houses, many of which were never built
