crpgs should have a check box in the options you have to click on titled "I am a Dishonest Person of Low Character" before you can steal stuff so moral Gamers such as myself can't accidentally click something we shouldn't have into our inventory when an npc moves away from our mouse

For me, Wasteland 3 may be my favorite modern crpg. Feels like a true successor to Fallout New Vegas, and you get to mow down a ronald reagan cult.
