New router in my server "room". Who would've guessed that having a decent one would make my internet experience much better. Now I wish I could replace the cablemodem entirely so I don't have a router after a router

My cablemodem is not for commercial use on the sovereign land of my router’s private IP range.

They have no jurisdiction to shape my bandwidth nor charge me access!

Nur bei mir ist der Account schon für den laufenden Vertrag wichtig.
Z.b. bei einem neuen CableModem. Da muss ich die ModemDaten im Portal eintragen, damit das angenommen wird und einem Vertrag zugeordnet werden kann.

We'll have had our landline number for 25 years this December, but it has been a fake-landline-via-cablemodem for the past eight years or so. (Sadly, that can't be used for fax or modem calls)

At some point I should buy a separate cellphone just for that old number and transfer it there.

Are YOU the guy who took the extra effort to call me back when I was complaining that inbound ports 80 and 443 were suddenly blocked to let me know it was a bug introduced by the cablemodem OEM and they they were working on fixing it? :)
