HIATUS ALERT
To give my brain a little break (and also properly prepare for the holiday arc), I'm taking some time off from the CaFae Latte series. Ideally, I'll be back by mid- to late Nov, but could be early December.

The sleeve of that sweater still has a very slight orangey-red stain. 😅

In some stories, djinn operate much like the Muses from Greek mythology: providing inspiration to humanity--for both good and bad. The invention of poetry is sometimes credited to them.

This week's video (which should have been up yesterday but wasn't b/c of a very inconvenient power outage):
A very dark version of Cinderella with a happy--and bloody--ending!

Much like the Fae, the original folklore rules of djinn are so varied they're almost nonexistent. Which is great for me as an author, because then I get to pick and choose!

I've been told that djinn stories are on par with spooky ghost stories. So, Happy Halloween! 👻🎃

My lease comes up in summer, and the roommates and I have already agreed to move to a bigger space. For storage, if nothing else. 😂

I've been watching Hells Belles, S & D Tier, and Cafae Latte for years. Recently started a new superhero series. They're all very well written. You just have to decide you're not too good for low budget media

Genuinely depends on their taste, especially since I now have HEART OF IRON, too, a slightly darker rewrite of my CaFae Latte TikTok series. That's the most popular.
I'd start with the genre tags I put by each title and go from there.

Just finished a great book. Modern fantasy with some of the best world building around, and an amazing climactic battle! Heartily recommend!

Heart of Iron by CM Alongi. What can I say? I love Modern Fantasy. One of the best parts of Heart of Iron was actually relearning characters in an AU! For those that don't know, it's based somewhat on the tiktok skit series CM does called CaFae Latte, and you should watch it!

MINI-HIATUS ALERT!
I didn't get the chance to film the next batch of videos in a timely manner, so there's going to be about a week's delay.

Honest-to-god, the boyfriend's line is a REAL THING he said to his victim.
Also, not-so-fun fact: a woman who ends a man in self-defense or retaliation for SA/DV will be sentenced to TWICE as long as a man who ends a woman for rejection, cheating, pissing him off...

Sneak peak at my research for upcoming CaFae Latte skits! (Plus a cat tax.)
Turns out the "Djinnology" book is not a collection of OG folklore like I thought, but MODERN stories utilizing OG rules/ideas, similar to what I do. Still a good read, tho.

Did you know one of the oldest recorded Wild Hunt stories was basically a traveler's log? An English courtier--Walter Map--was sent all over Europe for Henry II, and while he was at it he recorded local folklore--which makes him more of an early anthropologist.
