The Calmatters series was excellent, and the victims of reckless, repeat DUI driving described in it deserve much better than this.

Honestly, the members of California legislature should be embarrassed that this counts as progress.

In 2023, I promised to transform San Quentin from a cruel symbol of the outdated, failed prison system into a place built on REDUCING CRIME by providing education, rehabilitation, and earned second chances.
