You know what, I'm over devices having capacitive buttons. Monitors having capacitive buttons is a design failure. They are terrible for accessibility and give no reliable indication you've pressed it.

I can honestly say I've never seen a 2102 RAM chip behave like this before.

does anyone actually like the capacitive controls on newer cars? been looking at some reviews and i keep noticing a) an abundance of capacitive controls that don't need to be capacitive, and b) reviewers complaining about said capacitive controls

Henry really misses phones with keypads. Now it's all capacitive screens, fingerprint readers, facial recognition. It leaves guys like him kinda boned.

Car interiors peaked somewhere in the mid 2010s. Since then capacitive buttons and gradually replacing all physical controls onto one centre iPad style screen has made the experience of owning a car worse. No one wants to use a touchscreen to change the aircon fan speed.

I hate capacitive for that. The ikea ones are pretty good (no capacitive). 2 buttons but can do short, long and double (if I remember correctly) per button

apparently the mighty mouse does have a right click but it's a capacitive sensor activating it and i had no idea how to use it

Amazingly, reaction times using screens while driving are worse than being drunk or high—no wonder 90 percent of drivers hate using touchscreens in cars.

The Eve Matter switches could be perfect: one big button plus up/down side control for dimmers; every possible state/control; great thread performance. But for some damn reason the main button is capacitive.
So many potentially great products get ruined by capacitive inputs where they don't belong.
