#capitalist-driven
So many people over decades have been called conspiracy theorists for suggesting that U.S. intervention is driven by capitalist interests, and the interests of the oil industry in particular. Now the president just says it outright in press conferences and interviews.
Q: China, Russia, and Iran have interests in Venezuela. How does this operation affect your relationships with them?

TRUMP: In terms of other countries that want oil, we're in the oil business. We're gonna sell it to them. We'll be selling oil.

can't believe a profit-driven enterprise would follow capitalist incentives
Google is investing $75M into A24 as part of an AI research partnership between the 2 companies.

They will look at using AI to create new tools for movie production & distribution.

Start a thing. Privatizing any public utility or service has always driven costs to citizens up due to Capitalist profit motive. Nationalize all Public Services & Utilities.

If you are a capitalist, and you don’t think Elon becoming the world’s first trillionaire on a stable of wildly unprofitable, hype-driven companies isn’t batshit crazy, then you are not a capitalist.

ChatVC...a venture capitalist AI that vets business pitches and makes data-driven decisions about which ones to invest in. Another thing that, very strangely, doesn't seem to exist.

Yes, Peter Thiel is functionally illiterate. Here’s his attempt at summarising the Star Wars plot to Maureen Dowd in 2017:

"Look at the last 3 GOP presidents. One oversaw a double-dip recession with a savings & loans scandal that looted the Treasury. That was Bush I. Another oversaw near meltdown of the whole capitalist system. That was Bush II. Then the next presided over a pandemic-driven collapse. That was Trump I."
Are voters finally realizing GOP presidents are disasters?
Michael Tomasky makes the case that they are.

Always baffling that laypeople believe the MSM is the one capitalist endeavour that isn't driven by the financial interests of the capital behind it.

Sorry, can’t skeet, too busy building the Molotov cocktail for the corporate capitalist-driven internet.

Interesting point. One thing the MAGA-whisperer columnists can never seem to explain is why white working class voters went so heavily for the ultimate globalist plutocrat vulture capitalist (Romney) if their movement to the GOP was driven by rebellion against Dem neoliberalism
The story the data actually tells us is that Mitt Romney -- not Donald Trump, Willard Mitt Romney -- significantly accelerated the entry of white working class voters into the Republican fold, a process that had already been underway. How did he do this? Was it a break from neoliberalism? Populism?

If your admin says "but we need to prepare students for AI-driven careers," you can calmly say no. Reiterate that AI-integration is the result of wild capitalist greed, the technologies themselves aren't "generative" or useful in most careers, and students should focus on process-based learning.

I'm sure there have been other mergers mostly driven by cope. Our capitalist betters are far from homo economicus.

But this is probably a new all time record in $COPIUM.

No you weren’t. You were talking about your capitalist propaganda driven perception of communist countries.

Oh yeah, Star Trek, that notorious capitalist space fantasy where science and technology are driven by hyper-rich dudes, and the accumulation of wealth is a central tenet of society.
"We want to make Star Trek real," said Elon Musk.

"We want to make Starfleet Academy real so that it's not always science fiction, but one day the science fiction turns to science fact."

This does nothing to improve health outcomes. It's just greed-driven, capitalist death panels. There's a reason all the CEOs now have personal security teams.
Health insurers are increasingly interfering in care, an NBC News investigation has found.

Doctors say the stakes are highest in cancer care, when delays can be the difference between life and death.

The thing about private property is that it is always built on the basis of theft and plunder, and the capitalist system will always punish ordinary people for breaching it for personal use but never punish the most powerful capitalists driven by profit.

The provincial government didn’t explain or justify the thing because it can’t be justified.

This expansion was driven by lobbying from JP Morgan and vibes.

Doug Ford is not a YIMBY. He’s done nearly nothing on housing reform but has wasted huge sums on destructive crony capitalist nonsense.

It’s the left wing version of “it happened because of DEI”. Of course it’s a bit smarter than that because, like, sure, climate change is driven by capitalist accumulation, but still

Trump and Musk, Schumer and Jeffries aren't aberrations. They're sides of the same coin produced by our capitalist economic system and campaign finance-driven political system.

Any system that elevates these guys has to go. All of it. Start over. This one failed. It destabilized the entire world.
