Do you keep carbamide peroxide earwax removal drops around, by any chance? Hydrogen peroxide also works in a pinch, if the skin isn't too sensitive.

The OTC wax dissolvers are just carbamide peroxide instead. The only significant risk of hydrogen peroxide here is running it too long, particularly if it's not diluted.

using something called Debrox. the active ingredient is carbamide peroxide 6.5%. It basically turns into hydrogen peroxide in your ear. 5-10 drops, let it pop for a while (I took a 10 min nap)

…I wouldn’t be either, and also now I am squinting suspiciously because I also overproduce earwax and it is deeply fucking annoying. (Yes, I have carbamide drops and also own a kit for flushing my ears with vinegar water my own damn self if they get too bad.)
