Dudes in cardshops always talking about how they are an old timer compared to me with what games they grew up on, then tell me they are a few years younger than me. 🤣

It’s like the best part! Chasing people around with a bottle of febreze. It’s what I’ve always wanted to do in cardshops

Hell yeah!
Outside of shopping at local cardshops, any recommendations?
I liked StarCity but damn if they aren't pricey.... I knew some people that worked there and they were cool people so I shopped there for a while

and scalpers make it impossible to collect anymore when they snatch up boxes just to scalp and resell to cardshops, and now everyone can just pay to win tournaments by buying meta synergy decks. God I could rant about it lol

I don't remember how far back, but when I was a kid, I did little jobs for a couple of the cardshops in my town for singles, and they were surprisingly generous, too... I think I have two copies of Pestilence in my collection still. Dun remember what happened to my Pyrohemias, though.

So after deeply regretting my decision of getting rid of my Pokemon cards when I was younger; I am now collecting them again. I also started collecting retro games! I like this hobby! (:

Fast forward to last year, I decided I wanted to get back into collecting the cards. Finding cardshops that sell singles super cheap really helped my collection grow.

I haven't done any TCG tournaments or cardshops since before the pandemic. Part of me is curious to re-enter the scene but the other part is like "Save your money, you don't have time for TCG anymore". 😅

I've heard some local jp cardshops do limited card tournaments (ie 15 maindeck slots have to be new cards kind of deal) and maybe I don't know enough past events but this was 3 years ago at this point.

Jetzt durch mit meinen Ebay Bestellungen, warte noch auf Amazon Pakete und dann noch auf was von Cardshops, hoffe Letzteres kommt spätestens am Samstag, dann habe ich wenigstens was Spaßiges zu tun.

Unfortunately, where I am dedicated cardshops are scare/out of the way. Which is also why I don't have/go to "locals". The actual retailers I do go to becuase they're superstore and markets get ransacked by the prokebros.
It's disgusting. They literally stand there before the vendor even comes

There's tons of cardshops around but I don't want to go in there. My last two friend groups fell out in the worst way possible and I am in rush to get into another one for the same result if not something similar.
