yeah, the markets don't understand this and I think it's because a lot of the coverage will focus on videos of catamarans getting smoked as opposed to the fact that blowing up catamarans does not reopen the strait
So it looks like (www.wsj.com/world/middle...) we are settling in for attempting to just hammer down enough Iranian capability in the strait to make it safe for passage.
This seems likely to be very difficult to me, and take a long time. I wish markets understood this.

This is a tiny thing but it is striking me that the boats are catamarans (two hulls).
The point of a catamaran is that two hulls means they're harder to just flip over. You sacrifice speed (broadly speaking) for stability
