Celadon bloom with White flux #mayco #stoneware #pottery #celadonbloom #artsky #handpainted
A bird-feeder with lumpy, bluish-white paint with small rocks dried on. There are a few painted-on brownish bands around the handle, the very top, and around the seed holding area. It is unfired, so it has a chalky finish. Fired birdfeeder. It is a shiny, light celadon, with white blooming crystals all throughout. In the places where the brownish bands were, lie striking white cloudy drips, similar to the look of pouring creamer into coffee. Zoom-in to the bottom of the birdfeeder, where the celadon blooms and flux is highlighted.
