So, there is the `new` operator in C++, and I think in the next version they should add the `old` operator.

It feels very unserious to me, in a comprehensive way. Like, when they were putting together their financing, didn't CFG have an English Law Firm on retainer with memos and opinions and shit? And accountants who specialize in football clubs? Maybe. Probably.

I would think current players should be allowed to leave without any penalty.
I also think any former players should be able to sue CFG as their behaviour has damaged the reputations of these players.
Remember, the commission found there were illegal payments made to players. How common was that?

I think CFG believes they went through the correct channels. FFP rules became more complicated every year which is half the reason the move to SCR happened. Became too convoluted even for the usual suspects.
