Chandragupta supposedly encountered his army in the Punjab as a young man, and may have served in it briefly, though I think the sources here are speculative.

Sometimes I get sad that he and Chandragupta Maurya are offset by a few years. Could've been one of the craziest matchups in league history

Honestly, if Alexander didn't have such alcohol problem and suffered less injuries worsening his constitution, I wonder what the hell he would do after conquering Arabian Peninsula (for which he was reasonably prepared unlike Romans). I don't see him to doing deals with Chandragupta. Who would win?

Now, interesting alt-hist is if Philip V wasn't there to take over Makedon, and it would be Chandragupta Maurya invading Iran from the east.

I thought the author made a mistake with period. Chandragupta was the founder of Mauryan empire. Shouldn't it be before common era (BCE)? As it turns out, the Gupta kings pranked historians and students of Indian history posthumously.
