hmm this 80 year old demented lady who stopped eating food five weeks ago probably has a super rare channelopathy and that’s why her potassium is low, better call nephrology in the middle of the night about it

I have a particularly rare form of complex hemiplegic migraines caused by an ion channelopathy related to my Crohn's Disease. Don't ask me how it works; I just know that it's related to my Crohn's, and part of my migraine aura is paralysis, vision loss, and in bad episodes, full blown seizures.

Great. This is gonna fuck so many epileptics. Epidiolex has a shit formulation with a carrier oil that tends to cause liver issues. Lots of us rely on hemp CBD distillate to help with sodium channelopathy GEFS+ or even Dravet syndrome. Fml.

Every day I am feeling a little but better about having a cardiac channelopathy that could kill me at any moment.

Remarkably, families were discovered with individuals who did not seem to experience physical pain and the variation responsible was mapped to the gene for NaV 1.7.

Happy 44th Birthday to Rocco Baldelli, of Woonsocket RI, who had his career derailed in 2005 by Channelopathy, which causes frequent soft tissue injuries and fatigue. He signed a FA contract with the Red Sox in 2009, and in 62 Games hit .253 with 7 HR’s. Since 2019 he has been the MGR of the Twins.

Good interview discussing the TRPM channelopathy & the research using a T7 MRI by NCNED.

I don't appreciate the picture or the "CFS" in the headline that ABC listen used though.

Transcranial magnetic stimulation can't go deep enough yet. There are other things. Need a more precise prompt 🫶 I want to answer your actual question.

I use verapamil to treat my calcium channelopathy, CBG for sodium channelopathy, levodopa + nicotine for CiNs. My PVNH houses my reading circuit.

I will definitely try this special issue of Genome Medicine for my upcoming patch clamp assay calibration for VUS interpretation in channelopathy.
We are excited to announce a call for papers for a special issue of Genome Medicine genomemedicine.biomedcentral.com on "Clinical interpretation of genome variation". The submission deadline is Dec 18, 2025. More info here: go.sn.pub/gskvsk.

So Channelopathy is one I love cos I actually studied those (nearly did my masters project on them, specifically about quantum mechanics in ion channels)

I will not be explaining any of the others.

This team has been researching ME for the last decade.
It's awesome how they have connected the dots to arrive at this channelopathy.
Besides, there is this recent hypothesis about being too much intracellular Ca++, so maybe the puzzle is beginning to show something
