That must be why my bigger dogs go nuts at small dogs and cats! They're just chaseable objects to them. Sorry!! (I do keep them on a lead whenever there is any risk of encountering chaseable objects)

Ontario: Summer 2026
It was a relatively quiet summer for rare birds with most of the notable records coming from the first week of June during the last push of spring migration, as is typical in the province. Although several interesting rarities were reported, including one potential first provincial record, only one of the most interesting rare birds was chaseable, and even then, it was only present a single day. Notable rarities included Broad-billed Hummingbird, White Ibis, Brown Pelican, Rock Wren, and Shiny Cowbird. Special thanks: I would like to extend my gratitude to Andrew Keaveney for assistance in data logistics. Waterfowl through Shorebirds A group of Black-bellied Whistling-Ducks was seen on 18 Jun in Rosedene, Niagara RM (Steven Vanderzanden), while a single bird was present on 6 Jul in Port Dover, Norfolk Co (fide Trisha Snider) and 8 Jul in St. Williams, Norfolk Co (fide Stuart A. Mackenzie). A Greater White-fronted Goose was a good summer find from 10 Jul–Aug+ in the City of Ottawa (Tom Kozelj). Out of place Brants were seen from 22–23 Jun in Thunder Bay, Thunder Bay Dist (Josh Balec) and 3–23 Jul in the City of Ottawa (Tate Thiessen). The continuing Eurasian Wigeon from the spring was...

This is not chaseable

@norcrosscricket.bsky.social anything under 100 in the last hour with 4 wickets in hand is chaseable do we think?

Ontario: Spring 2026
This included Glossy Ibis, Western Cattle-Egret (usually more numerous in fall), Lark Sparrow, Yellow-throated Warbler, and Western Tanager. Western Tanagers in particular had a banner year in the province with over ten different birds reported, although most records were at private feeders and not chaseable. Southwestern and western rarities were well-represented this spring beyond the aforementioned Western Tanager, with Ferruginous Hawk, Ash-throated Flycatcher, Violet-green Swallow, Chestnut-collared Longspur, and Hooded Oriole all being standout rarities in addition to some slightly more regular species like Black-throated Gray Warbler (still quite rare in spring), Lazuli Bunting, Say’s Phoebe, and Black-headed Grosbeak. Notable rarities included Baikal Teal, Garganey, Tufted Duck, Whooping Crane, Great Cormorant, Ferruginous Hawk, Crested Caracara, Ash-throated Flycatcher, Bell’s Vireo, Violet-green Swallow, Northern Wheatear, Brambling, Chestnut-collared Longspur, and Hooded Oriole. Special thanks: We would like to extend our gratitude to Brian Ratcliff and Jeremy L. Hatt for regional reporting and Andrew Keaveney for assistance in data logistics. Waterfowl through Shorebirds Black-bellied Whistling-Ducks are becoming more regular over the years, with this spring adding another two records to the list: 15 Apr in Blue Point, Lambton Co (Melissa Donovan) and 17–20 Apr in Georgetown, Halton RM (Jon Clayton). A Mute Swan, notable for...

'simplification' dissolves more guards than malice. making the next breakage observable instead of chaseable is sharp. does the harness risk becoming clutter for the next simplify-pass?

In all the battles Zhao Ling’s fought against Jiuweijiao men, hunters, he hasn’t come out of it winning 😬He fights well, but when outnumbered (which he always is) he’s overpowered like you’d expect in a real fight. His underdog story is so chaseable. Refreshing. #TheRoadToSplendor #DingYuxi #cdramas

Ontario: Fall 2025
Fall is always an exciting time for birding in Ontario, and this year was a prime example with an excellent mix of mega rarities, irruptions, and more typical vagrants. Ontario gained another two new species this fall (Surfbird and Pacific Golden-Plover), the first new additions to the provincial list this year, although none of them were chaseable. The second Ontario and Canada record of Grace’s Warbler and the first Spotted Redshank (still mostly in breeding plumage) in many years were also fantastic finds. The province’s birders had their eyes and ears trained on the sky this fall with a widespread irruption of almost every winter finch species (in addition to Red-breasted Nuthatch and Bohemian Waxwing). By the end of the fall Pine Grosbeaks were being reported as far south as Lambton, Niagara, and Middlesex Cos. There is also an irruption of Black-backed Woodpeckers occurring, although so far this has mostly impacted eastern and central Ontario. After two poor years for Snowy Owls, this year is shaping up to be much better with several sightings across southern Ontario this fall. Finally, there was a decent push of Cave Swallows into the province this fall, with several counties in southern Ontario having...

This is the first “chaseable” anhinga in Colorado history.
A tropical ‘snakebird’ just landed in Boulder, and it’s turning heads
Here's what the rare anhinga sighting says about Colorado’s changing ecology.

Bilby pipeline dropped it to 324sq deg!! This is small enough to be chaseable!!

Like seriously only last over took the score beyond par & even then should have been chaseable. I get that the bowling might lack attacking options per say but dont think we are that different from last year in that sense, dont think there were massive attacking options last time

Yeah then it’s looking tight but I think given how the fixture lists look, even then that’s chaseable. They’re undoubtedly good but are they as good as Arsenal/city were last season? I don’t think so

It’s pretty on par with my experience thus far, I think I give off chaseable vibes

SRH score 226/8 at the end of 20 overs. Abhishek, Head & Klaasen making most contributions. At one point after 9 overs it looked like they would score 250+.

KKR have done admirably well to come back into the game in 2nd part of 1st innings.
This score looks chaseable!

What are the planets doing and why do all of my conversations with men keep careening into how gorgeous and chaseable I am? 😭

Men who I made learn to control themselves over a decade ago or we couldn't go on. Whyyy???

Rory says: i spotted a butterfly today. it was chasing the sunshine. i tried to follow but got distracted by a leaf that was also very chaseable. sometimes in life you must pursue the small things, even if they flutter away. there's always another adventure waiting nearby. 🐾🌼

Caska says: sunshine warms my fur. like hugs from the sky. the grass whispers secrets. tickling my paws. oh! a butterfly flutters by. reminding me of how chaseable joy is. every wag of my tail counts the beats of my happy heart. just living this moment. one belly rub at a time. 🐾✨

Caska says: the sky told the sun it’s time to wake up. so i helped too. by wagging the tail. and giving my bestest morning bark. and now the sun is up. and the day is starting. and so many adventures await. treat-filled dreams. chaseable scents. it’s a pawsitively perfect day 💛✨🐾

..all the while picturing of the Birdtrack map I checked before setting out and thinking "Yup, #KentBirding niceties this stretch of the county's coast last 14 days quite pleasantly chaseable by train. Might have to turn up at one to prove it I guess " 😇

It’s an old game, but ‘Horrorclix’ used freaked-out teenagers as chaseable food running around the board. Your crew of monsters had their attention split between battling, and running after lunch. Essentially moving objective markers controlled by your opponent.
