#TheWatermelonWoman hits hard. Cheryl Dunye honored every #Blacklesbian erased from Hollywood’s history. Erasure is about whole communities being silenced. Cheryl turned it into a memorial & invitation for all of us to keep searching for the stories we’ve been denied. #CherylDunye #QueerCinema

Just like @karenattiah.bsky.social found there’s really disturbing weighting of information or baseline scripting going on inside Liv regarding its creation. Despite usually inventing fake people, Liv tells me which real Black women on Instagram it stole its identity from?! @blackamazon.bsky.social

I missed #InternationalWomensDay yesterday, which is definitely a bad look, but I didn't want to miss a chance to post #posters of #movies I'd recently seen that were directed by women (incl/ #KirstenJohnson, #CherylDunye, #AnnHui), and which I thought were absolute masterpieces.
