both the msm and too many liberals ignore the fact that religious black voters, particularly regular churchgoing black women, are the core of the democratic party. without that demo, the democratic party literally ceases to exist.
The MSM presumption is that leading with faith must mean you're trying to win over Republicans.
But lots of Democrats are religious. They just tend to focus their exercise of faith in the political realm more on the plight of the poor and oppressed rather than on abortion and anti-LGBTQ beliefs.
