Really enjoyed listening to Simon Goldhill and Robert Icke in conversation last night. All the more gutted that I missed seeing that Oedipus production, but gleaned many interesting insights and talking points to raise with my A Level ClassCiv students.

Just been told that 1 in 3 of all students taking ClassCiv in Worcestershire come from the department I started.

We were an upstart department that was not supposed to thrive. I am so proud. Verity the current HoD is doing a stunning job!

To anyone complaining about The Odyssey Doing Diversity, I have to ask: have you truly suffered? Have you been forced to see the first 30 minutes of Troy (2004) in an overwarm ClassCiv classroom, year on year? In which Achilles does not make out with Patroclus, no, not even once? HAVE YOU SUFFERED?

Probably covered some of the same ground as ClassCiv
