#climate—it
The climate crisis in one sentence:
We have enough food, technology, and money to save the planet. We just have a system where destroying it is more profitable. That's not a climate problem. That's a greed problem. #ClimateJustice

Digger is the climate change satire Don’t Look Up was pointing toward. It’s incredible. If you have ever worked around climate advocacy I give it my strongest possible recommendation.

The WH has released AMERICA.GOV

It said JOE Biden won the 2020 election

It said Obama crowd at his inauguration was bigger

It said climate change is NOT A HOAX

Trump lies: "We had a lot of cooling and the ice is now bigger than it has ever been. It grew a lot. So the word 'warming' did not work. So what did they do? We have a new term. Climate change!"

Hey guess what everybody? We’re doing a climate cartoon award again and we’re naming it in our dear, late friend Jon Kudelka’s honour!

“I’ll never drive an EV because climate change is a scam!!” Hear it all the time.

So? They are far cheaper to operate whether you believe climate change is real or not.

I drive EVs because they are far better for my health and the health of my family.

Really looking forward to it!

Because the EU and the UK have so much to achieve together.

Making trade in agrifood easier.

Deepening cooperation on energy and climate.

Bringing our people closer together.

Helping Ukraine prevail.

↓
Looking forward to welcoming Prime Minister Andy Burnham to Brussels, alongside @vonderleyen.ec.europa.eu, on 20 November 2026 for the second EU–UK Summit.

🇪🇺 & 🇬🇧 work together as like-minded partners, united by common values and shared interests.

In a new paper in Nature Climate Action, the UCS climate team joined a group of experts to argue for a significant normative shift in climate science, focusing on how humans have altered the Earth’s climate system, regardless of what Big Oil & the Trump admin argue.

On this Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we celebrate the endless and bountiful contributions of Native people.

Let us continue to center their voices and wisdom, and staunchly advocate for their community and land prosperity, especially as it relates to climate change.

Enjoy the peace while it lasts, folks.
Vaccines work again. Climate Change is real again. Empathy exists again. Just humans talking to other humans again.
Feels like the internet used to. It's pretty neat. 😊

Friends. I, too wrote off Digger trailers as a pretentious ham-fisted satire about climate change & oligarchy starring actors unaffected by the troubles of the industry. Turns out it might be one of the smartest, funniest, most tragic films about storytelling and I was just being a judgmental bitch.

Schrader’s brain got melted with AI but he’s one of the few to grapple with Iraq and Climate Change. So many people pick at the edges of it but with Climate Change nobody wants to actually think about it. Weirdly the third season of FLCL kinda did but that shows you how slim the pickings are.

I have many answers to this. One of them is that the version of pro-pollution lobbying that replaced outright climate denial - which is basically that we can’t stop climate change on our own, so there’s no point worrying about it domestically at all - has triumphed, for now at least.

🌊 The global ocean holds some 40 times more carbon than the atmosphere. It absorbs more than a quarter of our emissions every year, slowing the pace of climate change. The Southern Ocean has an outsized role in the #carbon budget and the #climate system.

"You're a NIMBY about AI data centers!"

Actually I'm a NOMP (Not On My Planet) about privately-owned fixed-location infrastructure externalizing the cost of burning hydrocarbons for energy. If they had to pay what this really costs society in health and climate harms, they wouldn't do it.
My god. A Virginia data center ran backup diesel generators full blast for 24 hours, creating a giant cloud of toxic smoke that choked its human neighbors. The government claimed there was nothing they could do.

Virginia data center diesel generators ran nearly 24 hours during a Code Red alert, leaving neighbors with no regulatory recourse under current state permits.

Put “solving climate change via green energy” in the same category: Because if you think solving climate change is expensive, just wait and see how much it will cost us not to.

Organizational climate matters. And the organizational climate of the Wehrmacht made its participation in genocide a question of opportunity, rather than motive. It was predisposed to crime and it was only the military situation that prevented it (sometimes) from committing atrocities.

Black communities' vulnerability to climate change is not by accident. It was built through government decisions about where to invest and which communities to protect.

From Gary, IN to Flint, MI to New Orleans, LA — the story repeats itself.

Climate adaptation must become a civil rights priority.
Racist policy caused climate vulnerability. Restorative policy is the remedy.
Climate adaptation must become a civil rights project.
