The great clipless experiment of 2025 ended ignominiously at 9:07am when I looked down a hill and panicked for the third time this morning. Seat post lowered, street shoes back on. I can't keep riding with a setup I don't trust enough to roll down a hill.

After weeks of incremental progress on this #amputation journey, I finally rode with clipless pedals again today. And I can’t tell you how much better my confidence, stability, pedalling, and power transfer is - in just one session.

Potentially funny situation for me this afternoon: I installed clipless pedals on my bike (i have never ridden clipless before), I need to bike through this area, and I don't feel like swapping the pedals out. There is a 45% chance I am going to crash into a minivan
Biking on Damen between Webster and Diversey is such a bad and dangerous experience that it has become really funny to me. It’s like being in the Home Alone house when Kevin was trying to kill those guys
