It's a bright day, a bit sunny. There are some clouds near us, but not overbearing. In the distance, however, a grey cloudbank threatens. We are on the corner of an inner-urban road. A building stands on the corner of a side street on the other footpath. It looks like it was possibly once a pub or a corner store, as one corner of it on the corner of the streets is cut off flat, as if to accommodate an entrance door. Now, the bottom storey has been faced with concrete, with semi-transparent square glass bricks inserted to allow light in but stopping passers-by and random photographers from prying. The second storey balcony has four thin pillars holding up three concrete arches. Light blue and mustard-coloured railings complete a vaguely Mediterranean impression. In the distance are cranes, and beyond the end of the side street we see a new tower block. A small white sedan drives past, and a street sign informs us of a car park with 310 spaces. A sign on the side of the building, in Chinese and Vietnamese, tells us this is the base of "Trần Trung Accounting, Tax Filing and Finance Office". The Chinese translates as "Chen Hezhong Accounting Firm", and another sign on the corner tells us, in English that Trần Trung is a public accountant and registered tax agent.

Track Walk At Dawn

A pastel peach hue fills the sky as the sun burns itself through beyond the tree line. The dark outlines of trees block the full burn. See, I think it looks like an abstract of Eagles on the ground preparing to take flight, it's a bit grey, but that makes their being on the ground logical to my brain as they have to dry off after flying through a cloudbank

16 Aug 2026. A long walk through the neighbourhood brought me closer to the a nearby marina and surrounding reserve. The sky is deep sapphire blue, and a close-knit group of tall, elegant trees with circular crowns are huddled in silhouette against a thicker cloudbank along the lower portion of the picture.
