既存の人は特に問題ないけど、新規の場合はリポジトリ作れなくなる。移行先は GitHub とか Gitlab が推奨されていて下記でメリット/デメリットが記載されている。

AWS CodeCommit 終了の流れなのね。

AWS CodeCommit Returns to General Availability After Backlash
AWS recently announced that the managed source control service AWS CodeCommit is again generally available and that new features, including Git Large File Storage, will be added early in 2026. This marks a shift for the cloud provider that previously announced the service would not be further developed, closed it to new accounts, and encouraged migration to external alternative services.

Did a PoC hack today. A website that is also a git repo with builtin staging/production environments.
It's very AWS centric to keep things extremely simple (one vendor).
Under the hood a CodeCommit repo, that utilizes CodeBuild to initiate a Cloudformation deployment on push.

One nice feature of git is that you can use it as an entirely local backup and version control (or even remote, if you sync your repo dirs to cloud storage) - but I have loved AWS CodeCommit as a free service 😁

I did not see that coming! aws.amazon.com/blogs/devops...
It is almost impressive how *slow* CodeCommit was, too. Like, just every basic API call was literally 10x-100x slower than an equivalent operation on any other git hosting service.
