My final image of #comet #CometC2023A3 as it skirts my treeline. Small tail and no real colour in my scope after 20-30 mins exposure. See you in 80,000 years 😉 #astro

Here's a quick 10-photo stack of #cometc2023a3, shot this evening from my front door. Tomorrow, I will try to get to darker skies for a better run at photographing it.
This comet is just barely visible to the naked eye! Look due west, just above the horizon, between 40-80 minutes after sunset!

Looks like we could get some good viewing of the comet Atlas this evening in Southern Ontario. Go out and see it before it's gone forever.... or at least another 80000 years.

The sky finally cleared this evening to reveal #CometC2023A3 hurtling through the moonlight towards Earl's Hill, viewed from #salopobs as a pair of screeching Barn Owls chased around the field below

While observing the animation of #CometC2023A3, I noticed a moving 'star' in the sky (can you find it in my previous post?).
I think is a geostationary #satellite located 36,000 km above us. #Astrophotography
#python source code provided for the reticle tracking (see my answer to the post).

My joy this morning. Comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS over main range of mountains (using Nikon Z9 & 180-600mm lens). Tough as low on the horizon, mist/trees in the way, small window b4 sun rises (6.15-6.25am).

Saw the long-tailed #cometC2023A3 Tsuchinshan-Atlas from Irvine this evening, with the naked eye and with binoculars. Showed it off to some passers-by, who were thrilled. 🔭 (iPhone photo; pretty similar to what we saw by eye.)

Comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS is fading. Still easy to see with binoculars but not with the unaided eye. Cloudless skies last night but strong airglow kept the sky fairly bright.
