Here's a quick 10-photo stack of #cometc2023a3, shot this evening from my front door. Tomorrow, I will try to get to darker skies for a better run at photographing it.
This comet is just barely visible to the naked eye! Look due west, just above the horizon, between 40-80 minutes after sunset!

Looks like we could get some good viewing of the comet Atlas this evening in Southern Ontario. Go out and see it before it's gone forever.... or at least another 80000 years.

While observing the animation of #CometC2023A3, I noticed a moving 'star' in the sky (can you find it in my previous post?).
I think is a geostationary #satellite located 36,000 km above us. #Astrophotography

Saw the long-tailed #cometC2023A3 Tsuchinshan-Atlas from Irvine this evening, with the naked eye and with binoculars. Showed it off to some passers-by, who were thrilled. 🔭 (iPhone photo; pretty similar to what we saw by eye.)

Comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS is fading. Still easy to see with binoculars but not with the unaided eye. Cloudless skies last night but strong airglow kept the sky fairly bright.
