Wow I’m a Nathan Fielder stan and an Elizabeth Holmes completist (I even met Billy once when I was 19) and You Can See Everything far outstripped my expectations

it pains me that I will no longer be a ROTLD completist

Im regretting being a completist. Reading Passenger to Frankfurt by Agatha Christie. I'm reading it so you don't have to. Don't read it. It's bad, and I say that as a massive fan.

I think I persisted with Billy Bragg way too long, mostly out of completist fervour. Nothing I've heard recently has made me rush back . I think most artists only have a finite well of inspiration .

He's done mine already there - R.E.M.

Should've left when the drummer Bill Berry did really.

Finally 'Reveal' marked a brief return to form. It dipped again after but by then I was a completist.

I have some of their films (in various forms), but the completist in me finds this box set enticing.

I have the whole damned lot, thanks to my completist impulse. Even though I had every issue of the IDW run anyway. Still, it's convenient to have them all together like this. Wish they'd got the ordering of the Marvel runs right, though...

Either he’s turned on or he’s just a sexual harassment completist and realized there’s a whole other 50% of the population to get to

I wish I had more to be honest. I just cover so many genres that I find it very difficult to go completist on any directors, just not enough disposable income...

From about 13 I was a big Stranglers fan and bought every record up to Hugh leaving…even though once they went to epic they had at best 5 passable tunes…and I’m talking LPs and 45s, oh and solo LPs too. Lost the completist bug for any act after I’d sold those discs off.
What's a band or artist that you fell so hard for in the early years that you continued to buy albums by them long past the point where it was reasonable or wise?

The journalistic term for such releases is "a return to form".

I'll start. REM and Elvis Costello.

Agreed, the first three seasons vary from "meh" to "why the hell am I doing this to myself?" If I weren't a completist about these things, I probably would have bailed around S2.

Two more Mythos monsters star in this episode, and they're both Lovecraft creations ... sort of.

Why would anyone who is not a podcaster or Chicago sports completist follow the 2026-27 Blackhawks? In other words, at this point is it just sickos paying attention?

I didn't know that that Richard Wagner composed a Götterdämmerung Suite. BBC Radio 3 broadcast a recording of it this afternoon.

Fascinating. It brings his Siegfried Idyll to mind. Must get a CD. Completist.

If you are a completist you will know how I felt when I found a book I didn’t have for my Alan Furst collection. With bonus el cheapo succulents to redo some pots yesterday was a happy shopping day.

And maybe it’s just the completist in me, but we also need Part IV and V if we want VI.
If we want to delve into VI, we need the whole Tommy Jarvis trilogy

Giaco is excited about our New Directions haul. 2 Mathias Énard’s (after Zone I must read more Énard), 2 Yoko Tawada’s (I’m a Tawada completist), 1 Maria Stepanova and 1 Anne de Marcken. All from 1 lovely gift card.

This came out when I was in my James Herbert completist phase. I saw it in a nearly empty cinema during its brief theatrical release. Happy teenage memories.
