A collection of concept sketches for a college pitch I'm designing for April next year!

I'm currently going through all of my old concept sketches and I'm amazed at how many I've accumulated over the last 20 years. This one here is from 2010.

Some concept sketches I've been working on. #comic #art #conceptsketches
One of the multiple creation myths that are part of the comic, this one Omni tells and she essentially mythologizes science. Mass and Gravity are locked in a loving embrace at the bottom, Entropy is trying to pull away from them, and Time is... there just kinda... doing what time does. This is the strawberry blond knight, sitting in bottom left, from another reality where the world is getting covered in a nasty mold to the point people need respirators yet they still fight over nothing. The ruins of a mold and spore covered archway filled building can be seen in the background. A window between worlds opens up in Alva's office... which makes her office smell likemshit, gives her allergies and leads her to think her office is haunted. Here she is looking frustrated and asking "Why the FUCK does my office smell like SHIT!?" as the right side of the piece warbles and both nasty green spore air and a backwards "hello?" waft from the ripples.

Designing characters on the fly…

Sometimes there is research and a lot of reference. Sometimes a posse just appears.

Ellen’s dance friends. The boy’s name is Alex.

Can you help me name the girls?

Reached Page 80. 😊
