Of the people who signed the Declaration of Independence; 33 were Anglican; 12 were Presbyterian; approximately 13 or Congregationalists/Puritans; 2 Quaker; 2 Unitarians; 1 Catholic.

I always find it funny that the methodists, Presbyterians and congregationalists (reformed calvinists) merged in canada into the united church. Because even in religion, there was apparently too many options

Not true, actually! The SBC, the Pentecostalists, a subset of Methodists, Presbyterians, and Lutherans, all the Charismatic denominations, and the Congregationalists are all evangelical denominations.

The logical endpoint of Calvinism is either universal damnation or universal salvation.
And oddly, the denominations, like the congregationalists, that choose the salvation view seem to be a lot more active in charity.

& share w/the church on
Sundays. I was 12 when
MLK Jr. was killed.
Mr. Bowen tried to
share but stood, sobbing.
First time I saw a
grown man cry.

There are millions of Christians who are Episcopalians, Presbyterians, United Methodists, Lutherans, Baptists, Congregationalists, and many other expressions, who are pursuing love of mercy, acting justly, and attempting to walk humbly with God, in Jesus’ name.
