And as for church...if you're from Dad's hometown of 2,400 people maybe you can choose to socialize only with Catholics or Lutherans or the five Congregationalists there, but that would be pretty weird tbh. My childhood best friend went to Korean church. I went to Friends Meeting.

The Reformed Protestant tradition includes Presbyterians, Congregationalists, Christian Reformed and Reformed Church in America. All ethnic variants-Scottish, English and Dutch-of the original 16th-century confession.

I went to a Good Friday service with my now-wife this year, and the Lutherans sure do hit the GUILT button better than stuffy low church Congregationalists do

… Penn for all, Congregationalists in Mass. But in 1789, all that went away when the Founding Pluralism was ratified. There are no true churches in America. No on gets to make such pretentious claims when all are welcomed, including Native American…

Well, try mainline Protestants who believe love for all is THE reason to exist. No exceptions. All are open, welcoming, affirming as matters of stated institutional policy, moral belief. Methodists, Congregationalists were, 1830s on, abolitionist. Devotion to inclusion is a real, active presence.

Of the people who signed the Declaration of Independence; 33 were Anglican; 12 were Presbyterian; approximately 13 or Congregationalists/Puritans; 2 Quaker; 2 Unitarians; 1 Catholic.
George Washington did not want a country ruled by religions. Everyone should have freedom of choice.

The problem is the north and south have nothing in common. The north is composed of religious dissidents, Quakers, Mennonites, Congregationalists, and Dutch, Germans, Swedes, etc.

The South is landed gentry.

We have nothing in common.

Thank you and the Roman Catholic world congregants what we call Protestants at church. Bill Kristol on the bulwark just today was mentioned congregationalists so that's why I was a little thrown off if that was a correct term

this can be traced through us literature as a series of "great awakenings" starting with the congregationalists, who are a descendant of the puritans (literally, in the case of jonathan edwards, the grandson of puritan solomon stoddard)

Congregationalists arrived on Guam in 1902, and established their own mission, but were forced to abandon it in 1910, due to the lack of financial support

Two Episcopalians, two United Methodists, two Congregationalists (UCC). Those are real Christians.

Congregationalists stopped believing in the Devil around the Civil War.

Congregationalists stopped believing in God between WW2 and the end of the Vietnam War.

So are you saying the culture wars began when the Presbyterians realized their sons wouldn’t receive an adequate education from the Congregationalists?

7/ blame them, & I think it works, esp. for Welsh audiences, for whom the singing will evoke the small town, communal experience Wilder was going for with his rural Congregationalists.

🔹️The acting also seems, uh, very Welsh. It's certainly very different interpretations of the main roles than I've

My people on that side are Congregationalists, and would not have been out of place at a nice toasty witch burning. May have attended a few.

And the diocese shrugged the bishop acted as if his hands were tied. The way many bishops abdicate their authority and let churches act as if we are congregationalists. We do not talk about that enough and the way it endangers clergy.

Ummm... I think the Maga folk lost the Congregationalists and Episcopalians a while ago. Remember Episcopal bishop challenged Trump at his inaugural service at the national cathedral.

As a fellow descendant of 17th century English Congregationalists I agree with you. Moreover every Latino with direct ancestors who arrived in the Americas over 15,000 years ago (the vast majority of Mexicans and Central Americans), trumps us.

The nascent Federalist Party was composed of banking and merchant interests in New England and the Atlantic seaboard; they were disproportionately Congregationalists and Episcopalians.
