The 20-minute marriage convalidation ceremony with just the couple, a few other people (or even just two as witnesses) and me has become one of the favorite parish things I do regularly.

Convalidation
In this case, similar to my elopement package. Only 6 people present. The bride had taken her original wedding dress and made it into a tea length gown.

For my convalidation (sacramental marriage) we each had to have two witnesses who have known us our entire adult lives swear that we’d never been married before/don’t have other impediments to marriage. I think that’s what that question is for.

Yes. Here's the deal. A Catholic is obligated to be married "in church", that is, usually, with their pastor or another priest or deacon delegated by him as a witness. Therefore, to be a Catholic "in good standing" as it were, you need a convalidation. (1/2)

Nice young lady and husband come in to plan a convalidation. She did RCIA some years back but apparently nobody thought of convalidating the marriage then, so she has felt uncomfortable about receiving Holy Communion and hasn't since the Easter Vigil when she was baptized. What are priests thinking?

One of two things is true.
He's lying, or this is not a legitimate marriage; in The Church
Assuming both are Catholic the only way that happens is to (after the fact) get a convalidation.
Which isn't the speediest of processes.

OK, I’d encourage you to talk with a minister at your parish, whether a priest or a lay minister involved in your process to check. I could be mistaken but may need either convalidation or what’s called radical sanation (which makes your marriage valid going back to when you were married).

The Convalidation process is usually easy and free if said degree comes from a country with a certain agreement with mine. However, the U.S. does not have such an agreement with Chile as far as I'm aware.

So, the only thing I'm worried about University is that even if I complete my degree successfully, I have to go through a process once I'm finished called Convalidation.
Because I'm studying remotely in a U.S. university, it means that once I graduate, my degree isn't valid until I do this. (1/?)

More experienced speakers could mentor newer speakers, or train them in their talks, so interesting content can be widespread.
