If you are a wine drinker and don’t finish a bottle in one sitting, get a Coravin. Pumps gas in your bottle and only a tiny pinhole in the cork. I’m drinking a bottle from months ago..

Aerating with the coravin shower head and lot’s of waltzing took out most of the VA and reductive notes. What rests is a rather pleasant and smooth wine.

Went to a presentation today by Greg Lambrecht, inventor of Coravin, who makes a compelling case for the technology. I know there are skeptics out there, I am one, but maybe I’m just a little bit less so today. What do you all think? I know for sure one skeptical response I’m gonna get.

Vintage Port is traditionally made only in the best years. In weaker years many shippers make a Single Quinta Vintage Port instead—Vintage Port which is made from a single vineyard alone. Taylor's make two. Quinta de Terra Feita is the less prestigious one and is therefore often excellent value.

Will the systems that put a layer of an an inert gas (typically argon or nitrogen) into an open bottle help? If it's being inserted into the bottle as the wine is removed (as in a typical wine in keg system, or with the Coravin) absolutely, because oxidation never starts. 9/
