That means that in #CourtenayAlberni, @gordjohns.bsky.social is the candidate for you, and @tanille-tanille.bsky.social is in North Island-Powell River #NIPR. Liberals have not won in either riding in over 50 years, even in the high voter turnout in 2015.
Government works better when politicians work together, for average Canadians.

Class of ’26: your future’s so bright, you’re going to need shades! Belated congrats to grads across Courtenay–Alberni, including Kwalikum Secondary grads pictured here at the Qualicum Beach parade. Can’t wait to see what you do next! #ClassOf2026 #CourtenayAlberni

Sometimes the best letters come from the youngest voices. Claire’s thoughtful note is a great reminder that playgrounds help kids make friends, stay active and feel like they belong. Every child deserves safe, free, fun places to play. And yes, purple and pink sounds cool! #CourtenayAlberni

We’re continuing the conversation tonight in Courtenay:

7:00–8:30 pm
Native Sons Hall (360 Cliffe Ave)

Come share your ideas and help shape the solutions we take back to Ottawa. Your voice matters. 3/3 #CourtenayAlberni #TownHall #Affordability

What was clear: the best ideas don’t come from Ottawa, they come from communities like ours. From local food production to non-market housing and stronger worker supports, people brought forward practical, real-world solutions rooted in lived experience. 2/3 #CourtenayAlberni #TownHall

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Friendship Centre for our Port Alberni Town Hall. We started grounded in community and respect, and focused on listening. People spoke honestly about rising costs, housing, groceries, energy, and wages that aren’t keeping up. 1/3 #CourtenayAlberni

Great turnout at our annual Courtenay–Alberni NDP Holiday Party. Thanks to President Catherine Bell and our riding executive for organizing such a warm event, and for the kind words marking my ten years as your MP. I’m grateful to serve communities that look out for one another. #CourtenayAlberni

Proud to introduce Minister Robertson to Wayne & Brtt Coulson in Port Alberni. We discussed the urgent need for a coordinated national aerial firefighting capacity. Local expertise, global leadership—Canada must step up. #CourtenayAlberni #WildfireResponse #CanadaMustAct

Thank you Minister Gregor Robertson for meeting Mayors Minions (Port Alberni), Wells (Courtenay) & Brown (Cumberland). They showed how small rural communities face big-city challenges—funding delays, inflation & growth pressures—and need real federal solutions. #CourtenayAlberni #CanadaTogether

Minister Robertson joined me at IGV Housing in Port Alberni—a new modular housing venture creating 60–80 local jobs/shift. Their “smart core” tech can deliver homes below market rates. Exciting innovation and affordability led right here in Courtenay-Alberni.#CourtenayAlberni #HousingSolutions
