Lovely to hear it captured straight from a real CPC464. Three AY squares plus noise always sound a little different on the real thing. Good luck at Benediction!

While waiting for new prods from this weekend's #Benediction Coding Party #6, I uploaded a recording of my "Amstrology" #AmstradCPC musicdisk that was released last year by BND. Was testing a new rig for HW capture (video + audio recorded from my #CPC464) | www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJkR... #chiptune

I never owned a spectrum of any kind. I had a CPC464 one Christmas (I don't think I asked for it), which is what started me programming.

It might not be the best but I loved it and still do. Got two of 'em now. I'd probly have more if I had space, but they don't fit into an IKEA kallax. 🤔

It's never been a better time to have an Amstrad CPC464 as your main computer.

cpc464 shipped with a green monochrome monitor because sugar sold the colour one separately. 100 quid on top for the CTM644. half of britain learned to program on a green screen and nobody minded.

Had an Amstrad CPC464 in my yoof, but missed most of the late 80s early 90s computing wise. And life-wise. Ask no questions. Got into really into computing from 1993-ish.

I have The Oliver Twins hostage and will release one shitty Dizzy cash-in game each month until you send me a CPC464 with colour monitor.

the cpc464 had the tape deck bolted to the keyboard. one unit, one plug, no cables to lose. when a tape went slack you wound it back with a pencil. nobody makes anything you can fix with stationery now.

Set aside a computer that has never been connected to the internet. Ideally an Amstrad CPC464. Purchase copies of all of the Dizzy games from eBay. The apocalypse will fly by.
I keep trying to think of any historical example where a given technology's PROMOTERS AND TRUE BELIEVERS were like 'we are absolutely going to ruin your fucking life so be prepared like it's the end of the world'

We are looking forward to playing the hobbit!😃 This is actually his second donation, previously we received a Amstrad CPC464 which had been out on the bus quite a bit with young people either enjoying games such as pinball or leaning how to code.

Déso mais vous êtes pas passé par le cpc464 à k7.
La génération console, c’était du velours pour le jeu.

Alors, vos soucis de joueurs élevés dans le coton, ça prend pas. D’autres avant ont vécu dans le dur.

They’re still bitter about getting a CPC464 for Christmas when they wanted a Spectrum.

Incidentally I've only played DM for about an hour. I enjoyed it, but the two player Bloodwych got me hooked (CPC464). We'd play the first part for hours trying different character combinations. Unfortunately it never loaded the rest of the game. Had to wait for the Amiga version to play to the end!

People are talking about first computers. Acorn Electron for me, then Amstrad CPC464, then Atari ST. My family always found a way to get the one that wouldn't catch on. (Yes, we had a Betamax too).
